The Glass Detective
Fog, a crack, or stubborn spots? Take a closer look at what your glass might be telling you. Possible causes only — not a diagnosis; an on-site assessment may be needed.
What are you noticing?

The Detective's Field Kit
Four tests, no tools required
The same tricks glass pros use on a first walk-through — you can run them all from your kitchen counter.
The Reflection Test
A lamp or flashlight at an angle tells single from dual pane: one reflection is single pane, two close reflections are dual pane.
The Stamp Hunt
Safety glass carries a small etched stamp — “Tempered” or a logo — in a corner or along an edge. Tilt it toward the light.
The White Cloth Test
Wipe with a white cloth: spots it picks up are on the surface; haze you can see through is trapped between the panes.
The Quarter Rule
A chip smaller than a quarter, away from the driver's line of sight, is usually repairable. Anything bigger or spreading needs replacement.
Stuck on a clue?
Some glass keeps its secrets. Snap a photo or describe what you found — we'll identify it on the spot and quote the fix free.
